No resting this Case!

As a number of Cliftonville players gear up for further international action in the coming days, cliftonvillefc.net reflects on a busy weekend for a trio of our up-and-coming talents.

Odhrán Casey (pictured) was part of the Northern Ireland Under 18 Schoolboys side that drew 1-1 with Scotland in their Centenary Cup opener on Friday and made a late substitute appearance in the Reds’ 2-0 victory over Glentoran in the Danske Bank Premiership on Saturday before helping the Strollers to Harry Cavan Youth Cup Semi Final success a few hours later.

The winning goal in the Wee Reds’ triumph over the Glens Colts was scored by Peter McKiernan, who had also been on target in that Centenary Shield encounter with Scotland in Renfrew, where Dylan Snoddon joined his Solitude team-mates in the starting line-up before likewise completing 90 minutes for the Strollers the following day!

All three will be back on Northern Ireland duty for Wednesday’s clash with Wales at The Dub here in Belfast, while our best wishes are also extended to Toni Leigh Finnegan and Marissa Callaghan for tomorrow night’s Pinatar Cup encounter with Scotland in Spain and indeed to both Fi Morgan and Shona Davis, who are part of the Under 19s panel that will face Chile earlier in the day.
