Push the vote out
Last night’s defeat to Coleraine saw Cliftonville end an inconsistent January on a disappointing note, but who do you think was the team’s best player during the month?
The year began with a Danske Bank Premiership victory over Glenavon thanks to Thomas Maguire’s first goal for the Club, which he followed up with a double alongside strikes from Aaron Donnelly, Joe Gormley, Ryan Curran and Ronan Doherty when Hanover were dispatched from the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup.
Though Gormley was also on the scoresheet against Linfield, a 2-1 reverse at the hands of the Blues would commence a run of three consecutive League losses, with Carrick Rangers and Coleraine inflicting defeats either side of the County Antrim Shield being lifted when injury-time conversions from Maguire and Curran stunned Ballymena United in the Windsor Park decider.
