Grace injury update

Best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Niall Grace, who was taken to hospital after being forced off during Cliftonville’s Europa League Play-Off Semi Final defeat of Coleraine last night.

The 26-year-old midfielder, on loan from Glenavon, suffered a broken and dislocated elbow in a hefty landing after being on the receiving end of a robust 20th minute challenge.

“It’s bad news for us but it’s also bad news for Niall to have had his season ended like that,” said Manager Paddy McLaughlin.

“It was the way he landed rather than the challenge itself. There was no intent or malice in it, he just came down on his arm and, unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to continue.

“Hopefully he can get back on the road to recovery soon and I know everyone at Cliftonville wishes him all the best.”
