Thomas Maguire had a hand in all three goals as Cliftonville Olympic got the better of Dundela Reserves in this evening’s George Wilson Cup First Round tie at Wilgar Park.

It was evident from early on the that Reds meant business, going close on numerous occasions before breaking the deadlock when Stephen Garrett converted after great work from Maguire and Paul McAdorey.

Soon later, Maguire made it 2-0 when he found the bottom corner of from the edge of the box and the scoring was complete by half-time when Caoimhin McConnell converted from the penalty spot following a foul on Maguire.

The Olympic will now face the winners of Saturday’s game between Ballymena United Reserves and Glentoran II in the Second Round.
