Club Members convene at Solitude

The Membership of Cliftonville Football Club convened for its latest scheduled meeting last night, with various aspects of Club business up for discussion during a productive evening.

Not surprisingly, the Club’s selection of a new Manager was high on the agenda and Chairman Gerard Lawlor joined the Board in informing Members of the latest developments in both the shortlisting and interview process ahead of the successful candidate’s appointment.

The occasion falling on the final day of the January Transfer Window naturally saw discussion turn to the subject of player recruitment and, amid some jovial Deadline Day dramatics that included the Chairman’s phone ringing with a call from another Irish League Manager keen to talk about a signing, the Membership were the first to learn of Damien McNulty’s loan switch to Ards and the arrival of Niall Grace on loan from Glenavon until the end of the season.

Financial details were also relayed and, following guidance on Cliftonville FC’s short-term, mid-term and long-term aspirations, a positive and informative evening came to a conclusion with the Membership deliberating on a diverse range of topics pertaining to Club matters.
