Seventh heaven
Joe Gormley’s late winner in yesterday’s Danske Bank Premiership victory over Glentoran was Cliftonville’s 7777th goal in history.
Furthermore, the strike – which extended Gormley’s personal tally to 175 – also saw the Glens become the 10th different side that Joe has reached double figures against.
The match itself was, meanwhile, the Club’s 583rd meeting with Glentoran, the most times the Reds have ever faced a single opponent, and Cliftonville’s 90th minute winner prevented what would have been just the fourth 0-0 draw between the sides in 40 Premiership encounters at Solitude.
