Strollers elevate to next round

Cliftonville Strollers produced a dominant display to get the better of Lisbellaw United Youth in the First Round of the Harry Cavan Youth Cup at Solitude this afternoon.

Eight goals to the good at half-time, the Wee Reds added a further three unanswered strikes after the interval en route to an 11-0 success that emphatically booked their place in the next round.

In addition to a John Savage hat-trick and an own goal from the visitors, on target for Marc Smyth’s side were Colin Oppong (2), Conor Scannell, Dylan Sinnerton, Niall Dixon, Shea Burns and Donal Rocks.
