All for won

Yesterday’s late turnaround against Ards saw Cliftonville cap a winning weekend for all of our teams.

Joe Gormley netted either side of a deflected Conor McMenamin strike to complete the Reds’ comeback at Solitude and, following on from Cliftonville Olympic’s midweek defeat of Ballymena United Reserves in the Premiership Development League, the Strollers toasted a Friday night success against Dungannon Swifts Under 18s.

Cliftonville’s Under 16s also got the better of their Dungannon counterparts with an 8-2 triumph yesterday – meaning that neither they nor the Strollers have dropped a single point between them in their respective campaigns in the inaugural NIFL Academy Leagues.

The Reds Under 15s overcame St Oliver Plunkett 3-2, the Under 14s were 3-1 victors against Ballymoney United and our Under 13s enjoyed a 6-0 win over Bangor while, just a few days after Cliftonville Ladies got the better of Sion Swifts in the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership, the Under 15 Girls team saw off Carnmoney as the Club’s Football Development Centre and Ladies Academy combined with the senior set-up to deliver a superb winning sequence.
