The first process in the draw for the Europa League First Qualifying Round has taken place at UEFA Headquarters in Nyon this evening – with Cliftonville’s list of potential opponents now whittled down to just five teams.
The Reds are, of course, Unseeded in the draw and have been assigned to Pot 5, from where we will be paired with one of Hafnarfjordur (Iceland), Nordsjælland (Denmark), AIK (Sweden), Ventspils (Latvia) and Shakhtyor Soligorsk (Belarus) when UEFA’s Head Of Club Competitions, Michael Heselschwerdt, commences the full draw on Wednesday.
First Leg ties are currently pencilled in for July 12 with the return games taking place on July 19 and, while all arrangements remain subject to change, supporters are urged against making any travel arrangements whatsoever until both fixtures have been officially confirmed by the Club.
