Trio’s magic Dutch

Three Cliftonville players have been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for the forthcoming Women’s World Cup Qualifier with the Netherlands.

Former Under 19s captain Emma McMaster joins regular senior squad members Marissa Callaghan and Billie Simpson in the panel for the June 8 encounter at Shamrock Park in Portadown.

Though they cannot mathematically qualify directly for next year’s tournament in France, a victory over the Dutch would keep Northern Ireland’s Play-Off hopes alive and we naturally wish the Reds’ representation well when they host the European Champions next month.
