Deal for two
Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signings of Conor McMenamin and Damien McNulty.
McMenamin came through the Reds’ Football Development Centre and honed his talents as a striker at Linfield before joining Glentoran but has most recently been deployed in a defensive role at Warrenpoint Town, with the 22-year-old’s versatility promising to be a key asset to Barry Gray’s options in the season ahead.
Experienced defender McNulty, meanwhile, enjoyed spells at Limavady United, Coleraine and Finn Harps before returning to the Danske Bank Premiership for a brief stint with Carrick Rangers in the latter half of the 2017/18 campaign.
As well as welcoming the duo to Solitude, we can also confirm that winger Ross Lavery – who has scored nine goals in 57 appearances since making his Reds debut in April 2016 – has signed a contract extention, while we place on record our thanks to Jason Mooney, Gary Donnelly and Daniel Reynolds, who have this week left the Club.
In addition, we likewise extend sincere gratitude to Ricky McCann, who has stepped down from his role as Cliftonville FC’s Head of Sports Science. Ricky has played a key role since arriving at Solitude five seasons ago and, in thanking him for his considerable contribution during that period, we naturally wish him well for the future.
