Gary Donnelly scored Cliftonville Olympic’s 100th goal of the Premiership Development League season as Declan O’Hara’s side stretched their lead at the top of the table with a 2-0 victory over Carrick Rangers Reserves at Solitude this evening.
Donnelly bagged the opener before Daniel Reynolds sealed a win for the Reds who, in addition to pulling 12 points clear of Ards II at the summit, also received a boost when Linfield Swifts – who boast an incredible seven games in hand – were beaten 2-1 by Glentoran II to leave them 17 points adrift of the leadership.
The Olympic return to action on Saturday when they play host to Coleraine Reserves in a 12pm kick-off at Solitude.
