A stand-up guy

Cliftonville Football Club alerts our supporters to an upcoming occasion featuring none other than the Red Army’s very own Tim McGarry.

The renowned stand-up comedian and broadcaster – a familiar face at Reds matches home and away – will host ‘A Night of Solidarity’ at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall this Sunday, October 8.

Including support acts Terry McHugh and Mary Flanigan, the event is being staged to raise funds for Tools For Solidarity, a charity dedicated to collecting hand tools and sewing machines which, following refurbishment from international volunteers and local people with disabilities, are shipped to projects in Africa, helping artisans there to improve their livelihoods and support their families.

Sunday’s show, which is part of the Belfast Comedy Festival, commences at 8pm and tickets can be secured from the Box Office (which is situated at the Ulster Hall) or online via this link, while fans interested in further reading on Tools For Solidarity can so do through the organisation’s website here.
