Playing it safe

Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to lend our support to the ‘Safe space, shared place’ theme of Community Relations and Cultural Awareness Week.

The initiative – which is coordinated by the Community Relations Council and runs from today until Sunday – will feature over 160 events with the primary objective of inspiring new ideas and promoting understanding, respect and engagement between and amongst all sections of our community.

Providing a platform for organisations and groups across a variety of sectors to demonstrate innovative approaches to good relations and examples of how we can build a united and shared community, Cliftonville Ladies midfielder Marissa Callaghan teamed up with Crusaders rival Julie Nelson to promote events that range from an exploration of Gaelic history and heritage to a series of gatherings for young people to examine issues such as sectarianism, diversity and acceptance, with a full programme of events available for perusal at www.community-relations.org.uk.
