Angor issues

Cliftonville Olympic exited the Steel & Sons Cup with a 2-1 defeat to Bangor this evening.

Declan O’Hara’s side – who overcame Chimney Corner and Ballymoney United en route to tonight’s Third Round clash – fell behind on the hour mark when veteran frontman Mark Magennis opened the scoring for the Seasiders, who sealed their victory courtesy of Dwaine Beattie in the closing stages ahead of the Wee Reds bagging an injury-time consolation.

Best wishes are extended to Bangor for the remainder of the competition, while the Olympic return to action next Wednesday when they travel to face Dungannon Swifts Reserves in the Premiership Development League.
