Longing to return

Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Brett Long on loan from Dundee United.

The 20-year-old, who came through the Football Development Centre at Solitude and has received internatonal recognition at U15, U16, U17 and U19 level, left the Reds for Motherwell in 2013 ahead of his move to Tannadice last season.

On his addition of the Northern Ireland U21 stopper, who will train with his new team mates this evening and will be in the party for Saturday’s friendly with Lisbellaw United, Reds boss Barry Gray commented: “We are delighted to add Brett to our squad.

“He is an outstanding young goalkeeper and will bring additional strength to our panel. We are grateful for the assistance of Dundee United in facilitating his loan to Cliftonville.”
