Doyne to business

Cliftonville Football Club are acutely aware of the elevated standing we are privileged to hold within north Belfast and are committed to celebrating and sharing our successes with the local community.

It was in that spirit, therefore, that striker Joe Gormley was last night delighted to surprise the stars of Ardoyne Youth Club’s 2008/09 team by bringing the County Antrim Shield along to their training session.

With a number of Reds fans in their ranks – as well as a few players with family links to Solitude – the youngsters were very pleased to see the impressive silverware up close and will hopefully have been inspired to continue all the good work they have been doing in Ardoyne colours.
