On the home front

Chris Curran believes Cliftonville’s fans can play a key role in tomorrow’s Danske Bank Premiership showdown with Linfield.

The Reds return to Solitude after three wins on the road and skipper Curran – who netted the opening goals in victories over Carrick Rangers and Moyola Park – wants everyone involved to play their part in making it a happy homecoming.

“Hopefully us being at home will give us that bit of an advantage we need,” he says.

“It’s going to be a big task, Linfield are going very well and have performed very well in Europe.

“We know the size of the challenge, but we’ve worked hard in training to prepare for it and everyone is looking forward to it.”

You can read the full Curran interview in this weekend’s edition of our Matchday Magazine, which will be on sale at Solitude for £3.

Featuring Paddy McLaughlin’s pre-match views, The Red Eye’s fifth issue of the campaign carries your latest player poster and steps 117, 86 and 43 years back down memory lane – plus plenty more besides.
