Glenavon 4-0 Cliftonville
Cliftonville finished the Danske Bank Premiership season with an underwhelming display against Glenavon at Mourneview Park this afternoon.
After a bright start that saw both Thomas Maguire and Jamie Harney threaten, the Reds soon found themselves behind courtesy of Stephen Murray’s turn and finish.
The hosts made it 2-0 when, thanks to referee Tony Clarke failing to spot a foul on goalkeeper Richard Clarke, a wind-assisted corner kick from Andy Hall went straight in ahead of Murray making it 3-0 at the interval.
Cliftonville improved after the break but Glenavon – who boasted a numerical advantage in the closing stages after Ryan Catney was sent off for a challenge on Jordan Jenkins – added to their tally through Ross Hunter in the closing minutes.
