Rosie Zubier struck the winner as Cliftonville’s Under 17s claimed penalty shoot-out success over Linfield in tonight’s Under 17 Girls League Cup Semi Final.

In atrocious weather at The Dub, the Reds had an early Carla Devine effort ruled out for offside before taking the lead through Megan Copeland.

Linfield levelled with a well-taken strike to restore parity before the break but Cliftonville were back in front when Fi Morgan netted from the penalty spot.

The Blues hit back again, though, to force a shoot-out which ended with Zubier converting the decisive strike in a 4-3 win for the Reds.
