Marissa Callaghan was the hat-trick hero as Cliftonville Ladies commenced their County Antrim Women’s Cup campaign with a 4-0 victory over Ballymena United Allstars this evening.

Callaghan’s treble came in the first-half to give the Reds a commanding lead come the interval, after which Joana Da Silva found the net to complete the scoring in a victory that provided the perfect preparation for Cliftonville’s first fixture of the new Danske Bank Women’s Premiership season against Portadown Ladies on Wednesday.
