A former Northern Ireland Under-19 international, Adam emerged through the youth ranks at Linfield before undertaking loan spells with Warrenpoint during both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 campaigns. He then moved on loan to Annagh United for the 2021/22 season and, upon the expiration of his contract with the Blues, completed a transfer to Warrenpoint in the summer of 2022.
After one season at Milltown, he moved to Mourne derby rivals Newry City for a year before returning for a fourth stint at the Point, for whom he scored 14 League goals in the first half of the current campaign prior to being snapped up by Cliftonville.
