Two first-half goals from Ronan Hale set Cliftonville on course for victory over Loughgall this afternoon.
After going close to breaking the deadlock after just 24 seconds, Hale made no mistake with an emphatic 21st minute strike before doubling the Reds’ advantage when a neat touch took him away from goalkeeper Berraat Turker.
Chris Gallagher slammed in number three on 65 minutes and, though the Villagers were offered some hope when Nathaniel Ferris pulled a goal back, substitute Aaron Duke’s red card for a foul on David Odumosu knocked the wind out of their sails ahead of Chris Curran completing the scoring following a fine assist from Joe Gormley.
