Thoms up for Reds challenge

Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Joel Thompson from Ballymena United.

Tthe 20-year-old midfielder made his Premiership debut with Crusaders at the age of 15 before embarking upon a two-year spell with Nottingham Forest.

After departing the City Ground, the Northern Ireland Under-19 international joined Colchester United and undertook a loan stint at Aveley ahead of a short stay at Finn Harps.

Jim Magilton’s fifth addition of the Transfer Window, Joel – who made 34 appearances for the Sky Blues last term – has already started pre-season training with his new team-mates as the Reds count down to their opening friendly action of the summer next month.
