Golden girls

Solitude was a hive of community activity once again yesterday, when Cliftonville FC were delighted to host an Under-13 girls football tournament in support of Women’s Aid.

Featuring teams from St Malachy’s, Lisburn Rangers, Ballyclare Comrades, Oliver Plunkett and Belfast Swifts, our congratulations go to trophy winners Bloomfield and Rosario.

An accompanying barbecue kept spectators well fed while the action unfolded on the pitch and, with more than £1000 raised for a wonderful cause, we extend our compliments to everyone involved in making the occasion such a great success.
