A key chapter in Cliftonville history drew to a conclusion on Saturday as George Walsh took in his final fixture as Club Secretary.

Invited on to the pitch for a presentation from Club Patron Jim Boyce and President Paul Treanor ahead of the Reds’ European Play-Off semi-final with Dungannon Swifts, George will soon bring the curtain down on a lengthy and distinguished spell of service in the Boardroom.

A diligent and dedicated Clubman who has served Cliftonville FC with distinction across many years, we simply could not have allowed him to leave Solitude without providing our supporters with an opportunity to sound their appreciation for all the work he has done behind the scenes season after season.
