Staying for Morr

Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce that PJ Morrison has signed a new contract at Solitude.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper, who joined the Reds from Alloa Athletic last summer, has penned a deal that will keep him with the Reds until the end of the 2027/28 season.

Having emerged through the ranks at Motherwell, PJ – or Peter Joseph, as he’s more formally known – undertook loan spells with Clyde, Albion Rovers, Cowdenbeath, Falkirk, Ayr United and Alloa before completing a transfer to Falkirk in the summer of 2022.

Following a single season with The Bairns, the Bellshill man returned to Alloa, where he featured for two Scottish League One campaigns, winning the Club’s official Player of the Year award last term before making the switch to Cliftonville.

Voted August’s Player of the Month by Reds fans, he has made a hugely positive impression in 34 appearances throughout his first season with the Club and we are very pleased to share news of his extended stay with our supporters.
