Condolences

Cliftonville Football Club are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of long-time supporter Joe McLaughlin.

A Solitude stalwart across many decades, Joe’s was a familiar and recognisable friendly face to generations of our supporters, who will miss his company, wit and insight on matchdays.

A regular in the McAlery Stand – from where, as a keen photographer, he routinely captured unique imagery of his beloved Reds in action – Joe passed his passion for Cliftonville on to his children, who have been attending matches from a very young age and who are very much in the thoughts of everyone associated with the Club.

To his wife Cathy, children Joseph, Conor and Caitlin, and the wider McLaughlin family as well as Joe’s many colleagues and friends in and outside of football, we pass on our most sincere condolences for your heartbreaking loss.

Rest in peace, Joe. You Red.
