Defender llands at Solitude

Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Kyle McClelland on loan from Glenavon.

The 23-year-old central defender moves to Solitude on a deal until the end of the 2025/26 season.

A Northern Ireland Under-21 international who was born and raised in Glasgow, Kyle emerged through the youth ranks at Rangers before enjoying his first taste of senior action during a brief loan stint with Falkirk.

A move to Hibernian in the summer of 2022 yielded further loan switches to Cove Rangers and Queen of the South, with his first experience of the Sports Direct Premiership coming with Coleraine last season.

He completed a move from Hibs to Glenavon ahead of the current campaign, which he will see out with the Reds after this evening becoming Jim Magilton’s fifth addition of the January Transfer Window.

Welcome to Solitude, Kyle.
