Jack and thrill
Cliftonville 5-2 Glenavon
Jack Keaney added another double to his collection as 10-man Cliftonville put five past Glenavon at Solitude this afternoon.
A madcap first-half sprung into life after just three minutes when Eric McWoods opened the scoring amid a collision that saw the American receive lengthy treatment while visiting keeper Mark Byrne was forced off.
Despite looking comfortable, the Reds saw their advantage cancelled out courtesy of a smart finish from Jack Malone before a magnificent long-range attempt from Bridel Bosakani put the Lurgan Blues in front.
The hosts quickly hit back, though, and levelled courtesy of Joe Sheridan ahead of Jonny Addis smashing in for 3-2 before half-time.
When Odhran Casey was red carded after collecting two soft bookings, Cliftonville were forced into a reshape but nullified Glenavon’s threat before making sure of victory when Keaney first netted after meeting Rory Hale’s corner delivery before a now trademark free-kick rounded things off.
