Luke McNicholas says he can’t wait for the season to start after enjoying his first taste of action as a Cliftonville player in last night’s friendly win over Dungannon Swifts.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper only met his new team-mates 24 hours before the game but produced an assured display as he began his loan spell from Sligo Rovers with a clean sheet in the 1-0 victory.
