No Cole comforts
Cliftonville Olympic slipped to a narrow defeat in their final game of the Premiership Development League season as Coleraine Reserves claimed a 1-0 win at Solitude this afternoon.
With both sides in senior action later in the day, the selection of two particularly young line-ups made for a close-fought affair.
It was the Reds who carved out the best chances of the first-half but their failure to convert any of them was punished when the visitors broke the deadlock shortly after the interval.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, the Olympic produced a strong finish without reward; Daniel McIlroy and Paul Scullion going close to rescuing a late point.
Their League commitments complete, Cliftonville Olympic now turn their attentions to a George Wilson Cup Second Round date with Glentoran II on Saturday, May 4.
