More top merits

The latest recipient of the Freddie Jardine Special Merit Award will be unveiled tomorrow night.

Presented at the Cliftonville FC Awards, the accolade – which is named in honour of our much-missed former player, coach, physiotherapist and President – was introduced back in 2018 to highlight individual contributions to Ireland’s Oldest Football Club and acknowledges the unrelenting dedication of volunteers to whose services we are indebted.

Ticket holders for tomorrow’s ceremony at The Lansdowne will be the first to learn of the award’s latest beneficiary, while supporters around the world can enjoy updates on the night’s proceedings on social media.

Everyone attending the sold-out event is politely requested to arrive in good time for a prompt 7pm start and are reminded that it is not a black-tie occasion, with formal dress code encouraged.
