Six and sore
Coleraine 6-2 Cliftonville
Cliftonville crashed to a heavy defeat despite racing into a 2-0 lead in this afternoon’s Sports Direct Premiership encounter with Coleraine at The Showgrounds.
After good work from Ryan Curran had allowed Joe Gormley to break the deadlock, the Reds doubled their advantage through Liam McStravick with 22 minutes on the clock.
A loose back pass opened the door for Matthew Shevlin to quickly reduce the arrears before two Joel Cooper goals in three minutes had the Bannsiders in front.
Shevlin nodded home his second of the day to put the hosts 4-2 up at half-time, after which Cooper completed his hat-trick before substitute Senan Devine wrapped things up.
