Stang in the tale
Dungannon Swifts 3-2 Cliftonville
Cliftonville slipped to a last-gasp defeat in a topsy-turvy tussle with Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park tonight.
After falling behind early on, the Reds turned the tie on its head to lead only to concede an equaliser with a quarter of an hour remaining before ultimately going down to a 90th minute penalty.
Steven Scott had blasted the hosts in front with an eye-catching strike from range but a well-taken Joe Gormley equaliser saw the sides go in level at half-time.
Cliftonville were much improved after the break and pulled 2-1 up courtesy of a fine solo effort from Brian Healy but slack marking allowed Cahal McGinty to restore parity ahead of Adam Glenny netting from the spot following Shaun Leppard’s foul on Leo Alves.
