Jonny Addis thundered an injury-time thunderbolt into the top corner to earn 10-man Cliftonville a dramatic Irish Cup sixth round victory over Glenavon this afternoon.

Trailing to an eye-catching Luke McGerrigan strike, the Reds levelled when Joe Gormley scrambled home from a corner before Sean Robertson’s dismissal left the hosts a man light for the remainder of the contest.

With extra-time looming, however, Addis settled the issue when he let fly from distance to ensure sixth round day heroics against the Lurgan Blues for the second year in a row.
