Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Aidan Kelly.

The 22-year-old defender, another product of our Academy set-up, returns to Solitude following a successful student career in the United States of America.

A former Cliftonville Olympic captain, Aidan enjoyed some first-team experience with the Reds in the summer of 2022 before embarking on a move to the University of Masachussetts Amherst, and also enjoyed a brief stint with Ballyclare Comrades during a temporary return home in the second half of last season.

Jim Magilton’s fourth signing of the January Transfer Window, Aidan – who, during his previous spell with the Club, also skippered the Northern Ireland Schoolboys Centenary Shield squad that featured fellow recent returnee Liam McStravick – will, subject to international clearance, be part of Cliftonville’s panel for Saturday’s Sports Direct Premiership fixture with Carrick Rangers.
