A Roring success

Rory Hale’s opener in the County Antrim Shield quarter-final victory over Linfield has been voted Cliftonville’s Goal of the Month for October.

Taking charge of possession on the edge of the box following Keevan Hawthorne’s corner delivery, the Reds skipper controlled the ball on his chest before lashing an unstoppable half-volley into the top corner to set the team on their way to a 4-1 success on the night.

The strike – which you can check out along with last month’s other nominees below – will now automatically be shortlisted for Cliftonville’s Goal of the Season at the end of the campaign.
