Cliftonville slumped to a home defeat to Larne thanks largely to an insipid first-half display at Solitude this afternoon.

Trailing inside three minutes when Mark Randall’s corner delivery was diverted into the net by a combination of Tomas Cosgrove and Conor Barr, the Reds fell further behind to a Tiarnan O’Connor header.

A serious injury to Adebayo Fapetu overshadowed a contest that, despite carving out second-half efforts for Sean Robertson and Eric McWoods, Cliftonville were unable to fashion a route back into.
