International fourfront
With last night’s BetMcLean Cup victory over Coagh United representing Cliftonville’s last fixture ahead of the international break, we extend best wishes to four Reds players who will be on duty at various levels over the next week-and-a-half.
Joe Sheridan and Conor Barr have been called up to the Northern Ireland Under-21 squad for tomorrow’s clash with Malta and next Tuesday’s game against Germany, with both European Championship qualifiers taking place at The Oval.
Keevan Hawthorne (pictured) has, in addition, been selected in Northern Ireland’s Under-19 panel for Marbella friendlies with the USA (Saturday) and Switzerland (Tuesday), while Academy talent Eamonn Tohill will also be in Spain as part of NI’s Under-17 set-up for friendlies against Portugal and the USA which take place tomorrow and Saturday, respectively.
Everyone at Solitude wishes all four players well for their upcoming outings on the international stage.
