Here to Shea

Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce that Shea Gordon has signed a contract extension.

With 24 Reds appearances to his name since joining from Larne in January 2024, the central midfielder has pocketed Irish Cup and BetMcLean Cup winner’s medals during his time at Solitude, which will now continue until at least the end of the 2025/26 season.

Having come through the youth ranks at Dungannon Swifts prior to joining Sheffield United in 2016, Shea has represented Northern Ireland at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level and also enjoyed a five-year spell in Scotland during stints with Motherwell, Partick Thistle and Queen of the South.

He opened his Cliftonville goalscoring account in a Premiership victory over Glenavon at Mourneview Park last August and, after bagging his first home goal against Carrick Rangers in March, followed up with a stunning strike to set the Reds on course to victory over Ballymena United a few weeks later.

Though he endured something of a stop-start campaign due to injury, Shea’s impact was keenly demonstrated in the European Play-Off defeats of Glentoran and Coleraine in the closing week of the season and supporters can now look forward to further all-action displays from the 27-year-old over the next 12 months.
