Cliftonville 3-0 Carrick Rangers

Cliftonville clocked up a second 3-0 victory over Carrick Rangers in a month-and-a-half thanks to a convincing display at Solitude this afternoon.

Shea Gordon opened the scoring with the last kick of a controversial first-half during which visiting goalkeeper Jack McIntyre was lucky to escape unpunished for a needless shove on a ball boy, who required medical assistance in the aftermath of the incident.

Ten minutes after the break, Ryan Curran showed quick feet and presence of mind to poke home the second before Luke McCullough’s 87th minute foul on Ryan Corrigan earned the Reds a penalty which saw Alex Parsons net at the second time of asking after McIntyre had repelled his initial effort.
