Condolences

It is with profound sadness that Cliftonville Football Club mourns the loss of Betty Kirkwood.

Wife of the late Dessie – who held a number of positions at the Reds in an association spanning more than 70 years – Betty was a familiar and welcome face at Solitude, where she oversaw Boardroom hospitality and played a valuable role in strengthening the synonymous nature of the Kirkwood name at Ireland’s Oldest Football Club.

Those links remain as strong as ever thanks to the dedicated service that daughter Clare continues to provide to Cliftonville Ladies, with all at the Club extending our deepest condolences to Betty’s family and friends as well as the wider Kirkwood family.
