Pepper trail

Conor Pepper has outlined Cliftonville’s determination to sign off from Solitude on a winning note this season.

The Reds’ last home game of the campaign sees Glentoran visit north Belfast on Sports Direct Premiership duty tomorrow and, in addition to thanking fans for their support, Pepper explains the importance of generating a feelgood factor with the Clearer Water Irish Cup Final just a fortnight away.

“The fans have been great this year,” says the 29-year-old.

“We have given them something to cheer about and they have drove us on. Everyone wants to go now and finish the season well in front of our home fans and really get the morale going for the Final.”

He adds: “It’s about making sure we’re going to the Final feeling good about ourselves and our own performance. Tuesday’s performance is something we can build on and hopefully in the last game of the season, we can put something good on for the fans and feel good going into the Final as well.”

You can read the full Pepper interview interview in tomorrow’s edition of our Matchday Magazine, which will be on sale at Solitude for £3.
