Beware of social media ticketing fraud

With a number of vital all-ticket matches on the horizon, Cliftonville supporters are again reminded to be cautious of the rise of social media scammers purporting to be conducting sales of their own.

Often portraying themselves in the guise of a fan who has bought tickets but can no longer attend the game in question for spurious reasons, these fraudsters are most prevalent on Facebook and, while our social media admin do all they can to remove such comments and block the accounts behind them, we are mindful that one or two may slip through the net from time to time and ask all supporters to be wary of ever interacting with these scam profiles.

Likewise, do not follow their invitation to move the discussion to private messaging, where they invariably ask for payment via PayPal.

The ONLY place to secure tickets for any of Cliftonville’s upcoming fixtures is via the official online routes indicated below.

The Reds face Crusaders on Sports Direct Premiership duty at Seaview tomorrow evening before signing off from Solitude when Glentoran visit on Saturday, while all tickets for May 4’s Clearer Water Irish Cup Final with Linfield were quickly snapped up during last week’s online sales.

Genuine ticketing outlets for all fixtures are regularly communicated here on our website and via our various social media platforms and supporters are encouraged to ensure that these trustworthy vendors are your only point of sale.
