Another Col to action

Jim Magilton says the battling qualities Cliftonville have displayed on previous visits to Coleraine will be required once again when his side commence their post-split commitments in the Sports Direct Premiership tomorrow.

Four of the Reds’ remaining five League games will be played away from home and, up against a Bannsiders outfit on its best run of the season, Magilton anticipates another competitive showdown.

“They’re a really good team that has come into form and we don’t expect anything other than an honest test,” he said.

“It’s a tough place to go. We’ve had very tough games up there this year which have gone right to the wire and we’ve had to be very diligent and strong. We’re going to have to show our resilience and character again.

“We were disappointed to lose in midweek but we played well in the game. Big moments went against us, or we didn’t make them go for us, and we will need to sharpen up that side of things against a Coleraine team that has some good momentum behind them at this minute in time.”
