Kieran Harding becomes Club Chairman
Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce that Kieran Harding has taken up the position of Chair of the Club following a meeting of the Management Committee last week, having been first co-opted onto the Management Committee last November and subsequently becoming a Club Member.
Kieran takes over the role of Chair from David Begley, who stepped into the position on an interim basis last September. The Club places on record their thanks to David, who will continue in his position of Chief Operating Officer.
Managing Director of Business in the Community – a prominent business membership organisation leading the sustainability agenda across Northern Ireland and the UK – Kieran’s extensive experience and expertise in driving sustainability initiatives aligns perfectly with our Club’s vision for a brighter, more sustainable future.
Kieran is, furthermore, a distinguished figure in the football fraternity, having served as an Irish League player as well as being a highly regarded coach at Ballymena United, Portadown and Glentoran alongside a spell as Manager of Carrick Rangers, and his profound knowledge and insights into the dynamics of the game will undoubtedly benefit our Club in numerous ways.
In addition to his role at Business in the Community, Kieran is a respected member of the Board of Sport NI and serves as a Trustee at the legacy of the London Olympic Games charity, Spirit of 2012. His dedication and contributions to the sports community are exemplary.
A boyhood Reds supporter, Kieran’s multifaceted background and remarkable commitment to sports and community development make him a valuable asset to our Club. We are fortunate to have him on board and are excited about the expertise he brings to our efforts in shaping the future of Cliftonville Football Club.
