Rocks completes United move
Cliftonville Football Club confirms that Donal Rocks has this afternoon signed for Ballymena United.
The 23-year-old midfielder made his Reds debut in April 2019 and, following two years of hard work to battle back from an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the summer of 2020, spent the first half of last season on loan at Newry City before undertaking a similar arrangement with the Sky Blues for the first five months of the current campaign.
All at Solitude thank Donal for his efforts in his time at the Club, both in our Academy and the senior team, and wish him very well for this next chapter of his career.
Also joining Ballymena is defender Jamie Robinson, who has penned a loan deal until the end of the season.
Former Maiden City youngster Jamie joined Cliftonville in June 2022 following spells with Chesterfield and Sheffield FC, and has since made 22 appearances for the Club. Everyone at the Reds offers the 21-year-old best wishes during his forthcoming spell at The Showgrounds.
We are likewise pleased to confirm that goalkeeper Declan Breen and striker Michael Morgan will continue their development on loan at Playr-Fit Championship side Ballyclare Comrades, where they are working under the guidance of Solitude favourite Stephen Small.
Gerard Storey, who has been on loan at Barry Johnston’s Lisburn Distillery in the Premier Intermediate League, will also remain at New Grosvenor for the rest of the campaign.
Meanwhile, the Club offers hope for a speedy recovery to Seanna Foster, who recently underwent surgery on a knee injury sustained during his loan stint at Bangor.
