On Col for more

Ben Wilson is pleased to have played a role in a week of positive away results for Cliftonville and is determined to continue delivering when the Reds return to Solitude this evening.

Wilson’s former Club, Coleraine, provide the Sports Direct Premiership opposition and, having recovered from a run of losses by overcoming Crusaders and Ballymena United on the road, the striker is naturally eager to make it three wins on the spin.

“We could have been a bit more clinical on Saturday, but we’ll take the win and take the clean sheet and move on,” he explains.

“The last few weeks were difficult in terms of the defeats, but we’ve bounced back really well with two clean sheets and five goals in the last two games.

“I’m just really enjoying it. It’s been really good so far and with a couple of good results there on the bounce and a few goals as well – that always helps.

“We now look forward to Coleraine and hopefully we get a good result there, too.”

You can read the full Wilson interview in tonight’s edition of our Matchday Magazine, which will be on sale at Solitude for £3.

Carrying Jim Magilton’s pre-match views from the Manager’s Office, The Red Eye’s fourth issue of the campaign reflects on the Bannsiders’ upturn in form and carries a special eight-page supplement on Cliftonville Ladies’ recent historic exploits – plus plenty more besides.
