Walking the walk

Though much focus is on tomorrow’s Sports Direct Premiership fixture with Ballymena United, all at Cliftonville Football Club are only too humbled to once again draw our supporters’ attentions to a charitable endeavour being undertaken by the family of Jim Boyce.

Currently a Club Patron, Jim has, of course, previously served as Reds Chairman and President, and remains a familiar face at Solitude, where for many years he observed proceedings from his favoured vantage point beside the dugouts come rain, hail or shine.

At 11am tomorrow, his daughters Lisa and Joanne will be taking part in the Belfast Memory Walk to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s in a show of support for their mother, and Jim’s wife, Hazel, who is living with dementia.

We are delighted to note that they have already surpassed their initial £160 fundraising target and would encourage Cliftonville fans to make whatever donations they can afford by visiting their dedicated JustGiving page today.
